Thanks for any insight! I have been truly impressed with the Unity community and excited to be a part of it. Sooooo, I was hoping to save myself some hassle and time (I'm on a very slow internet connections so the 5GB download is going to probably take overnight), and I figured I would ask if there is anyone out there that is coding with Unity 2017.3.1f1 and using Firebase for an iOS app, and if so, what version of Xcode is the way to go? I searched the forums and ran into a couple of threads talking about how 9.3 has issues and other people that even said you need to go back to 8.X in order to be issue free with Unity. I also ran into a few headaches getting android to work and had to downgrade to older versions of the Android SDK as well as JDK in order to get it to build. I went to go download Xcode and immediately got jittery since it is rated as 2.8 stars out of 5 with a bunch of comments that version 9.3 should have never been released from beta. Visual Studio 2022 version 17.5 Releases. Visit the Visual Studio site to download other Visual Studio 2022 products. Also, see instructions on how to install offline. I was about to go through the build tutorial on Firebase for Unity with iOS (here's the link of the tutorial I am talking about: ) and right off the bat it says I need Xcode 7.0 or later. For instructions on installing and updating Visual Studio 2022, see Update Visual Studio 2022 to the most recent release. I am using Unity 2017.3.1f1 and the most recent, stable version of Firebase (just downloaded it a couple days ago.) I was able to get android up and running and have my app working on my android phone and the database is working as intended on Firebase. I am looking to create an app for both Android and iOS using Firebase for authentication and a database backend. This is my first post on the Unity forums, I just started using it about a month ago, so I apologize if this is in the wrong place.
